Land before development

The development is starting in the centre of Kinshasa but is gradually spreading out.

If you drive about an hour outside of the city, you can see the land before it was developed.

This is further east from the airport, and it is said to be planned for development in the future.

The surrounding area is lined with scenery like this, and as you go further in it becomes more jungle. However, since the land is flat compared to mountainous areas, it seems like it would be easy to develop.
